description Powder Hill, a 1,350-foot glacial kame, offers panoramic views of the park`s unique glacial topography that is featured along the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Kettle Moraine State Forest - Pike Lake Unit, has 500 feet of beach and large picnic areas on the lake.
drivingDirection The forest is located between Hartford and Slinger, just south of Hwy 60 on Kettle Moraine Road. We are located about 25 miles north of Milwaukee, about 60 miles east of Madison and about 40 miles south of Fond du lac. From the City of Hartford, take State Hwy 60 east, approx 2 miles, to the forest entrance at Hwy 60 and Kettle Moraine Rd. Turn south into the forest. From US Hwy 41, take State Hwy 60 west, approx 4 miles, to the forest entrance at Hwy 60 and Kettle Moraine Rd. Turn south into the forest.

importantInformation Kettle Moraine State Forest - Pike Lake Unit is closed to all camping when not on reservations. Vehicle admission stickers are required. Click here for cost of the sticker. Motor vehicles are restricted to the designated parking area at the campsite. No more than 2 vehicles are allowed at a campsite. For safety environmental concerns, please back into the site single file. No parking is allowed on road sides or shoulders. There is additional parking available near by. Pets must be on a leash (under 8') and attended at all times.
